Impact and Applications

Quicker, better, and more advanced sequencing technologies have allowed us to do things unfathomable in the time when Frederick Sanger just developed his revolutionary DNA sequencing method. Since then, the world of biology has never been the same. Sequencing is a technology so useful, and so universal, it has impacted all aspects of the biological sciences, and has been a huge part of our lives. From understanding evolution, to saving lives, sequencing technologies are becoming more and more important to science- and it's only just beginning.
